Obituary For Deborah Denease Crutchfield Lovett

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Deborah Lovett, who departed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. from the St. Paul Church Ministries in Sylvester, Georgia. Minister Gene Godfrey will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Church Cemetery in Isabella, Georgia.

Deborah Denease Crutchfield Lovett, the daughter of Oliver and Mae Bell Jackson Crutchfield was born November 25, 1954 in Worth County, GA. Deborah departed this life on July 21, 2026 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, GA.

Baptized at Shady Grove Baptist Church as a child, Deborah had a loving passion for family and cooking. She enjoyed reading, watching the Food Network channel and knew every chef and their specialty. R&B singer Chris Brown was her favorite entertainer.

Deborah was educated in Worth County Public School System and learned to sew from her mom. She married Esker Fowler, Jr. and this union was blessed with two children. She was a homemaker for 35 years and spent many years as a seamstress in the textile industry. Her passion for cooking led her to providing meals for child care centers and manufacturing facilities in Valdosta, GA. Family gatherings always featured her signature dishes.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Mae Crutchfield, her brother Waddell Crutchfield, Sr., and a grandson Elijah Johnson.

Above all, Deborah loved and cherished her family and friends. Her love will continue to be remembered by her beloved husband of 25 years, Lewis Lovett; her two children, Timothy Bernard Fowler (Makasha) and Kijuangila Gelane Fowler-Johnson; her four step-children, Reginald Hayes (Scheron), Loretta Phillips (James), Victor Leon Hayes, and Stephanie Lovett; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her siblings Johnoson Crutchfield, Sr.
(Jacquelyn), Althea Roddy (Randle), Thajuana Crutchfield-Richey (Lorenzo), and Harold Crutchfield (LaChannel); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whose lives she has touched as the matriarch of the family for several years.
