The funeral services for the late Mrs. Della Mae Madison, who departed this life on Saturday, April 26, 2025, will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Reverend Jerome Pace, Pastor, will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Mrs. Della Mae Madison was born December 18, 1947 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Mr. Harvey Tuckes and Mrs. Gertrude Tuckes.
She graduated from Eureka High School in 1965, and for most of her career she worked as a seamstress at M & W Sportswear for 38 years.
Della gave her life to Christ and became a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia when she was a youth.
Throughout the years, Della performed various duties within the church. She was an Usher, Secretary of the Mission, and Member of the Kitchen Committee. She was also named Mother of the Church.
Della was a Woman of Faith who generously loved to shower others with love. She was caring, generous, and a hard worker. She always projected a positive attitude and was able to supply words of comfort when someone needed it. She was filled with an abundance of wisdom and often provided counsel to others. She was a prayer warrior who cherished and adored her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Our esteemed Della Madison was called to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, April 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father Mr. Harvey Tuckes and mother Mrs. Gertrude Tuckes, sister Elizabeth Adams, and her son Baby Holloman.
Della leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband of 46 years Nathaniel “Duncan” Madison Sr.; her children, James (Dr. Faoye) Tuckes, Malcolm Holloman, Cortisa (Antoni) Deshazier, Nathaniel (Katy) Madison Jr., Elizabeth (Terrence) Bryant, and step-daughter Tamera Bynum; her grandchildren, Jotisha (Darance Gillard) Patterson, Tatyana (Tamba) Korfeh, Keith Collier, William Quarterman, Keanna Roberts, Lontisha Woods, Alexandria Terry, Ezekiel Deshazier, Chakorya Hammock, Levetta Hammock and Destiny Leggett Madison; her great-grandchildren, Graise Frederick, August Quarterman, Grayson Hamner, and Everleigh Youmans; her sisters, Bridget (Elkanah) Martin and Regina (Joel) Akinson; her niece Celena Adams-Locke, and her devoted friends Brenda Ellington and Willie Mae Leary; and a great host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
