Obituary For Edward Shepherd

The late Mr. Edward Shepherd departed this life on Sunday, August 2, 2026. At the request of the family, the remains have been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shipp's Funeral Home Chapel in Ashburn, Georgia.

Mr. Edward Shepherd was born on April 9, 1955 in Ashburn, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sr., and Eudora Lamar Shepherd. He was the fourth of eight children.

Edward was educated in the Turner County Public School System and graduated from Turner County High School in 1973.

At a young age, Edward confessed his faith in God.

Edward was a good and a hard worker. He was employed at Golden Peanut Company for a number of years, and had many other jobs.

Edward got the nickname “Tubi” from his friends. He lived in Atlanta, Georgia for a few years and moved back to Ashburn, Georgia several years ago.

Edward gave up this busy walk of life on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Shepherd, Sr. and Eudora Shepherd, his brothers Marvin Shepherd, Thomas Shepherd, and his sister, Christine Shepherd Jordan

Edward leaves to cherish his memories his children, Cornelius Shepherd, Tammy Shepherd; several grandchildren; his siblings Rose Mary Shepherd, Albert Shepherd, Jr., Jerome Shepherd, Anthony Shepherd, Willie Mae Stubbs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors who will remember him fondly.

Edward was a friend to all. We will really miss him and our other siblings. You’ve gone to be with the Lord God….
