The funeral services for the late Mr. Ivory J. Brown, who departed this life on Sunday, July 26, 2026, will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the New Hope Church Of God Apostolic in Alapaha, Georgia. Bishop Edward Jones, Pastor, will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the West Fletcher Cemetery in Alapaha, Georgia.
Mr. Ivory Jean Brown was born on October 4, 1949 in Alapaha, Georgia to Mr. Joe “J.B.” Brown and Mrs. Claudia Bell Ivery Brown.
Ivory attended schools in the Berrien County Public School System.
Ivory gave his life to Christ and joined the New Hope Baptist Church and later the New Hope Church of God Apostolic.
Ivory was united in Holy Matrimony to Barbara Ann West.
Ivory worked as a machine operator at Union Camp.
Ivory gave up this busy walk of life and took his Eternal Rest on Sunday, July 26, 2026 and Harmony Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fitzgerald Georgia. His parents, his son William Dalton, two sisters Betty Jean Brown and Barbara Joiner, a grandson Demetrius A. Wilson, and a granddaughter Jaylnn Brown, all have preceded him in death.
Ivory leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of twenty years, Barbara Ann Brown; his daughters, Mullisa Brown of Bunnell, FL, Lakisia (Donald) Durden of Tifton, GA; his sons, Xavier Brown of Thomasville, GA, Timothy (Kimberly) Prather of Fitzgerald, GA, and LaKevian (Cherelle) Prather of Valdosta, GA; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; his brothers, Ben (Barbara) Brown, Sr. and Joe Brown, Both of Bunnell, FL; three brothers-in-love, Bishop Dr. Arthur (Lorene) West of Vienna, GA, Elbert (Brenda) West of Cordele, GA, and Apostle Joseph (Towanda) West of Tallahassee, FL; five sisters-in-love, Elder Trudie (Claudel) Parham, Delois (Sammy) Clark, Mary (Charles) Poke, all of Ashburn, GA, Geraldine (Cory) Smith of Valdosta, GA, and Victoria (Ben) Farrie of Jacksonville, FL; a very special friend, Bro. Larry Bazin of Alapaha, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, other relatives and many, many sorrowing friends.
