Funeral Services for the late Mr. Johnny L. Jackson, who departed this life on Sunday, May 25, 2025, will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Henry Hall Woolard Community Center in Sylvester, Georgia. Minister Lisa Thomas will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery. Johnny L. Jackson, age 75, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on the evening of May 25, 2025, at 9:23 PM. He was born on December 14, 1950, in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Georother Jackson. He was one of eleven siblings.
Johnny was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served his country with courage and honor. After returning home, he pursued higher education and spent time attending Albany State University, enriching his life and preparing to give back to his community.
Johnny was the devoted husband of Katie Jackson, whom he deeply loved. Katie passed away on July 19, 2012. After many years apart, Johnny is now reunited with the love of his life.
Johnny was a loving father to six children: Kimya Jackson (mother: Ruby Jackson), Johnny Jackson, Jr. (mother: Ruby Jackson), Kamora Stewart, Michael Jackson, Jasmine Jackson, and Genea Jackson. He was a cherished grandfather and a proud great-grandfather who found endless joy in the lives of his descendants. He was also a father figure to many in his extended family and community. He is also survived by his loving siblings Randy Jackson and Lois Jackson; the rest have preceded him in death.
Johnny loved traveling, had a passion for airplanes, and was a devoted fan of football and basketball. He also had a knack for fixing things and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His laughter, wisdom, and presence filled the hearts of those around him. Johnny lived a life marked by service, devotion, and joy. His humor and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Johnny’s life was a living testament to love, faith, and family. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
