Mrs. Grace, I love you. I know you are going to miss Mr. Jefferson. He loved you. I remember when you would call me and I didn't answer, Johnnie would call and say "Brenda, can you please call Grace because she needs her hair done?" I would say, yes sir. He was a man who loved his family. He was a great inspiration to me. We are going to miss him.

To the family of a Servant who aced his spiritual journey, our sincere condolences, and may God comfort you - all at this time. Johnny was always willing and always helpful. Ican hear him say, "God has laid up in heaven for me A crown which cannot fade; "The righteous Judge, at that great day, shall place it on my head. May Johnny rest in peace, and the family be comforted. James & Rosemary Thompkins & Family.

I tell this story all the time. I was a young boy. During the winter Uncle Johnny would come get me EARLY Sunday morning before Sunday School. We would go to Beulah Grove, just me and him. He would lite the gas heaters so the church could be somewhat warm by Sunday School, and leave me there to "watch them" while he went and picked up people for Sunday School. Now, I have no idea what I was supposed to do if something happened because this was waaayyyy before cell phones. But I eventually realized it had nothing to do with "watching heaters" at all. It was about Service...to your family, to your church, to God. That's because HE was all about Service. Thank you for the lesson Unc and I know your Service continues with The Father.
