Mr. Johnny Otis Boney was born on October 29, 1956 in Turner County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Alonzo Boney, Jr. and the late Mrs. Eula Mae (TY) Boney.
Johnny was educated in the Turner County Public School System. I was a member of the Turner County High School Marching Band, where he played the drums. After graduating from high school, Johnny enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served faithfully.
At an early age, Johnny gave his life to Christ and joined the Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Sycamore, Georgia.
His love of music led him to be a faithful drummer for the gospel group, The Heavenly Stars. Johnny worked as a long end short distance truck driver, including RC and Pepsi Cola, Tift Regional Linen Services, and many other companies until he retired.
On Monday, January 20, 2025, our dearly beloved one slipped away from this earthly sphere to await his transition to a final spiritual home, awaiting the Resurrection.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Bessie Boney of Quitman, Georgia; his children, Antonio (Tony) Boney of Ocala, Florida, Renee (Shannon) Boney-Edwards of Lakeland, Florida, Whitney Boney of Tifton, Georgia, Marteshia Tukes of Atlanta, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Antonio Deshaun Boney, Marquavius Boney, Quinantonio Boney, Amaya Boney, Je’Vian Palmore, Zion Edwards, Tyreke Edwards, Cody Glover, Cryslaye Panier, Kashayla Panier; three great grandchildren; sisters, Cynthia (Niecee) Boney, Dianne (Charles) Rogers, both of Ashburn, Georgia; a devoted friend, Major Arnold; a devoted cousin, Eddie Austin; and a hos t of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
