The funeral services for the late Mr. K. C. Wilks of 519 Harrison Avenue, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Monday, January 4, 2021 at his residence, will be held on Friday, Janaury 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Words of Comfort will be given by Pastor Samuel Gaines. Services may be viewed Facebook Live from the "Shipps Funeral Home" Facebook page.
Mr. K. C. Wilks was born on September 14, 1955 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Mr. Charlie Gaskins and the late Mrs. Annie Lee Wilks Kendricks. He was educated in the Turner County Public School System. Throughout the years, K. C. worked as a forklift operator in warehouses in Savannah, Georgia and Tifton, Georgia.
Our Loved One was called home to Eternal Rest on Monday, January 4, 2021 at his home. His parents, a sister, nine brothers, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe and Ruby Wilks, have all preceded him in death. K. C. leaves to cherish his memories his son, Jaoquinn Cunningham; two granddaughters, Jaleryia Poole, Journey Cunningham; three sisters, Jessie M. Wilks (L. D.) Buchannon, Joann (Billy) Jordan, Shrirley Gaskins; three brothers, Tyrone (Janine) Wilkes, Larry (Angela) Wilks, Charlie Gaskins; two special nieces, Dorothy Edwards, Lawaii Wilks; a special cousin, Charlene Nichols; a dear friend, Darrie “Heavy D” Burgess; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
