The funeral services for the late Mrs. Mae Lizzie Office, who departed this life on Saturday, August 23, 2025, will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Reverend J. Bernard Braswell will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.
Our Matriarch, our Baker, our Counselor and the Glue that held our family together, Mrs. Mae Lizzie Office, was born on October 3, 1934. She was one of fifteen siblings born in Cordele, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Beckhom and Annie Singleton Beckhom.
Mae received her education in the Turner County School system. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a dedicated member New Mt Olive Baptist Church. She served as the Mother of the Church.
She was married to the late Willie C Office and together they raised nine children.
Mae Office enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was loved and respected by everyone. Her smile glistened throughout the room wherever she went. She had a passion for cooking and baking and found so much joy in it and was able to share it with others. Her warm smile and laughter would turn anyoneโs bad day around. She modeled a life well cherished by her family members and will forever remain in the hearts of those lives she touched. Family and friends will also miss her story telling plus those wonderful jokes she would come up with.
Mae departed this life early Saturday morning on August 23, 2025 at the age of 90 years old. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons Carl Office, Melvin Office, one grandson Florigge Office, one granddaughter Wytonda Office, two daughters-in-law Minister Frances Office, Sherrion Office. Mae leaves a legacy to be carried on by five sons John Office of Ashburn, GA, Willie (Mary) Office of Tifton, GA, Richard Office of Ashburn, GA, Lester (Gail) Office of Sanford, FL, Willie James of Ashburn, GA; three daughters Laverne (James) Troutman, Patricia Office, both of Ashburn, GA, Linda (Joseph) Vaughn of Tifton, GA; one stepson Joel Johnson of FL; brother-n-law, Jody Office of FL; sister-in-law Lilly Mae Riggins of Tifton, GA; daughter-in-law Virgie Office of NC; a total of 100 plus grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
