The funeral services for the late Mrs. Mary Lois Jackson, who departed this life on Thursday, April 24, 2025, will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the New Provisor Missionary Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. Reverend Donnie Ray Hall, Sr., Pastor, will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Mary Lois Jackson, 77, was born on April 15, 1948, to the late Sarah Mae Johnson and Leroy Johnson in Sylvester, GA. She was educated in the Worth County School System and graduated from J.W. Holley in 1966.
Mrs. Lois was a woman whose strength, love, and light touched every life she encountered. Full of energy, wisdom, and humor, she filled every room she entered with joy, laughter, and warmth. Her beautiful spirit left an unforgettable mark on all who knew and loved her.
Mama was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a loyal, steadfast friend. She worked at Target Distribution Center for nearly 20 years, where she built lasting friendships that she cherished deeply. Her hard working spirit, infectious laughter, and caring heart made her beloved by her coworkers and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Several years ago, Mary Lois gave her life over to Christ and joined New Provisor Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served and was honored as a Church Mother. Her unwavering faith, wise counsel, and open arms made her a pillar of strength and love within her church family.
On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Mary Lois was called home to rest. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing she has found eternal peace. Her legacy of love, laughter, faith, and resilience will live on through her family, her friends, and all the lives she touched.
Lois was proceeded in death by her sister/cousin Mary Helen Span. She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Darrell Cunningham; daughter, Lavonda Johnson; son Ronald (Shelia) Jackson, daughter Takeebie (Steven) Jefferson; daughter Rasheeta Vassar; 13 grandchildren, Jameke Nelson, Justin Cunningham, Alicia Cunningham, Jordan Cunningham, Taylor Cunningham, Britaineous Smith, Shalonda Smith, Javarious Lewis, Contasha Moye, Lasasha Jackson, Ronald Jackson, Jr., Dayshious Jefferson, Devin Jefferson and ten great grands. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and loving friends.
We celebrate a life so beautifully lived β one full of purpose, passion, and an endless giving spirit. We will carry her memory in our hearts forever, honoring her by living our lives with the same love, strength, and faith she so freely shared with us all.
