The funeral services for the late Mrs. Teresa Tanner Burgess of 600 South Perry Drive, Apt. #466, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her residence, will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Zion Hope Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Eulogy will be given by Pastor Michael Hill. Burial Will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Ms. Teresa Burgess was born on May 27, 1966 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Rosie Mae Terry Tanner.

Teresa, known as “Ree”, was educated at Eureka High School. She grew up in Ashburn, Georgia, where she later started her own family. Being family-oriented, Teresa loved cooking and having family gatherings. She loved the outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, enjoying good laughs and music. Her laughter and smile brightened the room but her serious face made you scatter. Ree was definitely one of a kind.

Teresa attended New Jerusalem Holiness Church in Ashburn, Georgia. On November 14, 2021, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt departed this life peacefully. Her parents, her sister, Judy Williams, and her brother, Joe Louis Terry, have all preceded her in death.

Teresa leaves to cherish her memories three children, Cintaral Tanner, Jason Tanner, and Emmanuel Tanner; six grandchildren, Demarjae Tanner, Kaden Hill, Tarriah Tanner, King Tanner, Zoey Tanner, and Tiana Rose Tannerher one great grandchild, Kylen Tanner; sisters, Vivian Rogers and Grace Monneus; a brother, Gregory (Sharon) Tanner; a friend of the family Darryl Burgess, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
