The funeral services for the late Mr. Tovokyo Adams who departed this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Eulogy will be given by Minister Floyzell Johnson. Services may be viewed Facebook Live from the "Shipps Funeral Home" Facebook page or by clicking the Video Stream link on the Home Page.
Mr. Tovokyo Tyrone Adams was born on December 21, 1978 to Mr. Freddie Lee Simon and the late Ms. Carolyn D. Adams.
Tovokyo attended school in the Worth County Public School System and graduated from Worth County High School. After graduating, he went on to work for Orgill, Turner’s Furniture, and tirelessly with Golden Environmental until his health began to decline. Tovokyo later went on to meet and marry Alisha Taylor, and this union was blessed with four children.
Tovokyo gave up this busy walk of life on February, 23, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. His mother preceded him in death. Tovokyo leaves to cherish his memories his children, Antonio Howard, Tovokyo L. Adams, Jakobi Adams, Christian Adams, all of Tifton, Georgia; his siblings, Ursula (Christopher) Sims of Warner Robins, Georgia, Tarrum Adams of Poulan, Georgia, La Shaundra Adams (Eric) of Sylvester, Georgia, Adrian Simon of Tifton, Georgia, Natasha Simon of Doerun, Georgia, Jackie Simon of Jacksonville, Florida; a grandmother, Dorothy Adams of Poulan, Georgia; a stepfather, Sammy Byrd of Sylvester, Georgia; a mother-in-law, Faye Taylor of Tifton, Georgia; a godmother, Sally Davis of Sylvester, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
