The funeral services for the late Mr. Walter Snow, Sr., who departed this life Friday, August 2, 2024 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., from the Henry Hall Woolard Community Center in Sylvester, Georgia. Reverend Ray Drake will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Services may be viewed via Facebook Live from the Shipp's Funeral Home Facebook page or by clicking the Video Stream link on this site's Home Page.
Mr. Walter Lee Snow, Sr. was born on December 26, 1944 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mr. Willie Lamar βW.L.β Snow and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Bell.
Walter was educated in the Worth County Public School System. In 1964, Walter began working for the Georgia Department of Transportation, and retired in 1996, after thirty-two years of service.
In 1963, Walter was united in Holy Matrimony to Laura Wiley. This union was blessed with four children.
Our Loved Oneβs time upon this earthly realm came to a close on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. His parents, and a son, Kenota Wanard Snow, Sr., all have preceded him in death.
Walter leaves to cherish his memories his children, Walter Lee (Elaine) Snow, Jr. of Albany, Georgia, Waltina (Stacey) Williams of McComb, Mississippi, Tyrone (Dee) Barbers of Thomasville, Georgia, Keyoto Snow of Sylvester, Georgia; twenty-five grandchildren, twenty great great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; a devoted friend, Rosetta Smith; an extended family of three children and eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, co-workers, and sorrowing friends.
