Williston, SC - Mr. Ricky Whitfield, 65, a native of St. Augustine, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Williston Healthcare and Rehabilitation LLC. Memorial service is private and will be at a later date.
Ricky Whitfield was born on November 21, 1957, to the late Mercy D. Whitfield and the late Eddie Dwane Ford, Sr., in St. Augustine, Florida. Ricky received his education in Florida and New York and worked many of years as a skilled machinist, and a factory worker. Ricky was an artist, music lover, and very creative. He was outgoing, fun-loving and enjoyed the company of good friends, family, and good food. He will be missed and loved by everyone that knew him.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Mercy Whitfield and Eddie Ford, Sr.
Ricky leaves to cherish his memories; two sons, Gerard McInnis and Reginald Boykins, Jr., both of Rochester, NY, two brothers, Lemford Ferrell, St. Petersburg, FL, and Eddie Ford, Jr, (Janelle) of Grayson, GA, two sisters, Melaine Ford - Freeman (John) of Grayson, GA and Marlena Ford - Roland (John) of Coral Springs, FL, stepmother, Alean M. Ford of Coral Springs, FL, two aunts, Thelma Jones and Olivia Brown (Charlie) all of St. Augustine, FL, four uncles, Jimmy Whitfield (Cynthia) of Chiefland, FL, Carl Jones (Vanessa) of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Ford and Julian Ford (Leatha) all of St. Augustine, FL, a great aunt Crezell Turner, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, five grandchildren, Reginald Boykins, Jr, Luvon Boykins, AhJaleaha (Princess) Robinson, Xavier Boykins and Jameera Jeffries, two great grandchildren, Essence Johnson and Torren McInnis, extended family, Christina, Cornelius, Larry, Selena, Joseph, Excell, Timothy, and Renee Boykins-Addison, a dear friend of many years Betty Boykins, a childhood friend Anthony Durhart, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
