Obituary For Mr. Anthony Glover
Funeral services for Mr. Anthony Glover, 63, of Cordova, SC, will be held 2:00pm Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg.
Anthony “Amp” Allen Glover was born January 13, 1962, in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Rosa Lee Cobb Glover and Willie Glover. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at MUSC-Orangeburg.
Anthony was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of Edisto High School.
Anthony was known for his strong work ethic and love for family, especially his grandchildren. He was truly “always a call away” whether for advice, a listening ear, a helping hand, a riding partner, a ride or to baby sit. He could be counted on to be there no matter what.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rosa Lee Cobb Glover and Willie Glover; maternal grandparents Julia Cobb Walker and Walter Cobb; paternal grandparents Iva (Henry Sr) Glover; Uncles James, Johnny and Eddie Cobb; Aunts Lorraine Sanders and Deloris Walker; and two nephews Trevic Glover and Marcus Glover.
Anthony leaves to cherish his fond memories: two loving daughters, Symba Glover of Orangeburg and Sasha Pough of Williston, SC; Sisters: Carrie (Jimmy) Garvin of Lexington, SC, Sandra Glover of Orangeburg, SC and Tawana Glover of Orangeburg, SC; brothers; Michael (Antoinette) Gordon of Long Island, NY, James Glover of Hampton, VA and Wesley Glover of Cordova, SC; grandchildren Kailaya Govan, Ava Eady, Amiyah Johnson and Ayden Johnson; nephews Brandon(Tameka) Whaley of Orangeburg, and William (Cathy) Whaley of Neeses, SC ; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and dear friends.
Mr. Glover passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at MUSC Health-Orangeburg.
Public viewing will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 2pm-6pm.
