Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Hartwell, Jr., 21, of 1056 Sulton, Ct. Orangeburg, SC will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Simmons Funeral Home Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC, with interment to follow in Heavenly Rest Memorial Park. Minister Ruby Jones is officiating.
Mr. Cecil Hartwell, Jr., the son of Ms. Betty Hartwell and Cecil Gilyard, was born January 15, 2019 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was called to eternal rest on November 6, 2019.
Cecil was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.
Cecil was hard worker and was employed by Husqvarna in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Brown Chapel.
Cecil is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Felder; paternal grandmother, Ruby Zimmerman; and two brothers: Michael Hartwell and Johnathan Hartwell.
Cecil leaves to cherish precious memories: three children: Ny’Chance Terryon Hartwell, Naasir M. Keitt and Nalivia Myers; his mother, Betty Ann Hartwell; father, Cecil (Blondell) Gilyard; fiancé, Jennifer Detrice Keitt; three sisters: Lokeis Hartwell, Latasha Washington and Don Hartwell; three brothers: David Hartwell, Tony Hartwell and Antonia Hartwell; five aunts: Lavern Calloway, Linda Hartwell, Mary Zimmerman, Willa Mae Jones and Betty Gilyard; two uncles: Jewish Gilyard and Earl (Henritta) Gilyard; four nephews: Josiah Wahing, Tevin Hartwell, Trevin Hartwell and Joe Joe Hartwell; special aunt, Willie Mae Jones; special cousins: Justin Jones and Tiera Jones; best friends, Mr. & Mrs. Debird & Reggie Cuttino; godmother, Monica Green; godbrothers: Alex Green, Mar’Shawn Williams, Ka’Ron Green and Curtain Green; god sister, Marcia Williams; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 11, 2019 from noon to 8:00pm.
