Funeral services for Mr. Darrin Demitrius Harrison, 27, of Graham Street, Orangeburg, SC, will be held 11:00 am Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC, with Reverend Joann Farlow officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Memorial Park.

Darrin Demitrius Harrison, the son of Angela Johnson and the late Anthony Harrison, was born on July 9, 1992 in Orangeburg, SC. He was called into eternal rest on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.

At an early age, Darrin attended Shiloh Baptist Church. He attended Orangeburg Wilkinson High School. Darrin recently received his Culinary Arts Certificate.

Darrin loved watching sports, reading books, and spending time with his children and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Harrison; maternal grandparents, Rubie Myers, Jimmie Mack; paternal grandmother, Nancy Jones.

Darrin leaves to cherish his fond memories: His mother: Angela Johnson of the home, Two sons: DeAngelo and Darrin Harrison, Jr., both of Orangeburg, SC; Siblings: LaKeesha Johnson, Angelo (Kathryn) Johnson, Anthony Harrison all of the home, Yolanda Williams, Monique Kennerly, Alicia Oliver, and Vernon Kennerly all of Orangeburg, SC; maternal grandfather: John Wesley Myers; paternal grandparents: George (Berthel) Pelzer; Aunts: Michelle (Sean) Jackson of Orangeburg, SC, LuShane (Stanley) Williams of Bowman, SC, Shawanna Boneparte of St. Matthews, SC, Jametta Mack Barden of Atlanta, GA., Nancy Seawright of Columbia, SC; Uncles: Jimmy (Karen) Johnson of Manhattan, NY, Darrin (Loria) Johnson of Tampa, FL, Clyde Johnson of Orangeburg, SC, Ricky (Rebecca) Pelzer, Jr., of Florida, Morris Harvey of Orangeburg, SC, Reginald Felder of Columbia, SC, Sean Mack of Queens, NY; Special friend: Zadijya Goodwin and her daughter Jhalinee; Godmothers: Margaret Conerly and Diane Franklin both of Orangeburg, SC; Godfather: Sigmund James of Orangeburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 9. 2019 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
