Funeral services for Mr. David L. Simpson, 69, of Orangeburg, SC, will be held 11:00am, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, with interment to follow at Belleville Memorial Garden.
Mr. Simpson passed away, Monday, April 6, 2026, at MUSC Health Downtown, Columbia.
Public viewing will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, from 12-6pm.

My last encounter, I was joking with the family about putting Mrs. Simpson to work in our office. If I would've known that would be my last encounter, I would've stayed in that room with you all a little longer. To the family, I pray God gives you strength, peace, and comfort to endure this moment. May your sorrow be replaced with joy in knowing Mr. Simpson is no longer suffering. My sincere condolences to Sherry and the family. I'm sending my prayers to you all. I'm gonna miss David he always been so kind and nice. I meet the family 37 years ago and he's always been nice. I met David and Sherry in Glenfield Apartment and blood could not make us family.
