Obituary For Mr. Fernell Williams

Funeral services for Mr. Fernell Williams, 68, of Santee, SC, will be held 12:00pm, Friday, July 18, 2025, at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 3425 Old State Road, Santee, with interment to follow in Island Cemetery.

Fernell Williams, son of the late Hampton and Eartha Bell Williams, departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2025, at MUSC Health in Orangeburg, SC. He was born, September 9, 1956, in Orangeburg County.

Fernell attended the public schools in Elloree, SC. He worked for many years at Wilshire Farm in Santee, SC. He joined Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church at a young age, where he was a member until his passing.

Fernell was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Mary Grant, Martha Davis, Zannie Void and Willie Mae Garrett, Hank Lee; and brothers: Hank Lee Williams, Willie Junior Williams, Hamton Williams Jr., and Samuel Lee Williams.

He leaves behind his only son, Travis (Valarie) Davis of Santee, SC; three sisters: Pearly Whaley of the home, Cora (Eugine) Davis and Bobbie Joner of Santee, SC; one brother, John C. Williams of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Victoria, TeOnna, Travon and Vachaud all of Santee, SC; three great-grand children. A special niece, Darlene Neals, whom he was very fond of and Shirley Ann Ward whom he loved dearly along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Mr. Williams passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at MUSC Health, Orangeburg.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 1-6pm.
