Funeral services for Mr. Henry Jacobs, 83, of 273 Mayes Road, Orangeburg, SC, will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Good Hope AME Church, Cope, SC, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Henry Jacobs was born in Cope, SC on September 17, 1939 to the late Odessa and Rachel Jacobs. He entered into enteral rest on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at MUSC, Orangeburg, South Carolina.
At an early age, Henry joined Good Hope AME Church in Cope, South Carolina.
He attended North Field High School in North, South Carolina. He was employed with Cleckley-McGee Construction Company / REA for over 35 years in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Henry was married to Willie Lou Dash Jacobs for 54 years, and to this union, two daughters were born.
Henry was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Matthew Ryant.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Willie Lou Jacobs; two daughters: Monica Jacobs and Nykeia Jacobs of Orangeburg, SC; one granddaughter reared in the home, Nylasia Fraiser; one sister- in-law , Georgia Cowart of Orangeburg, SC; four brothers- in-law :Vernon (Loretta) Dash, Levine (Brenda) Dash, James (the late Lousie) Reed all of Orangeburg, SC and Willie Dash of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren: Lakendra Wolfe and Tenesha Fredrick both of Orangeburg, SC; five great grands: Zayda, Amina, Aleena, Missouri, and Indyia; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2023, from 1:30pm - 6:00pm.
Family and friends may visit the residence of his wife, Willie Lou Jacobs, 273 Mayes Road Orangeburg, or call Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
