Obituary For Mr. Jacob Myers

Private funeral services will be held for Mr. Jacob Myers, 67, of 340 Clarendon Street, Orangeburg, SC.

Jacob Sylvester Myers, the son of the late Jacob Myers and Bessie Myers, was born on December 20, 1952 in Cordova, South Carolina. He departed this life on May 4, 2020 at his home.

Jacob was educated in Orangeburg County public schools. He worked at Husquarna as a tester before his illness.

He enjoyed cooking, yard work, and making people laugh. Jacob was a selfless individual who would go out of his way to help others. He would give his last to make sure everyone was alright.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Jannie Myers; his mother, Bessie Myers; a daughter, Jaquetta Busby; a son, Tory Benjamin; a sister, Sandra Curry (Dexter Curry); two brothers: Alan Myers and Ricky Myers; five grandchildren: Kembria Felder, Tykeil Huggins, Anthony Keith Jr., Julian Benjamin and Aden Benjamin; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 2:00pm - 7:00pm.

Friends may call at the residence of his wife, Mrs. Janie Myers, 340 Clarendon Street, Orangeburg or Simmons Funeral Home & Crematory of Orangeburg. Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions.
