He gave and helped many people while mentioning the local youth. He was the epitome of a community leader in Orangeburg. He also loved singing and traveling with the Quartets in his church. Beloved Boyd Family, We celebrate the life of beloved Mr. James "Bubba" Boyd as we endearingly knew him. He was a friend and extended family to us, among our Village Fathers. My parents, Herbert and Margaret, could count on him as a trusted and loyal friend in the many years on the West End. He was always welcoming, always of good spirit with an infectious smile. Bubba Boyd gave our family the best haircuts ever in the old-fashioned way. Surely, many came in contact with him through the barber shop and with their daily newspaper as Bubba Boyd was a T&D carrier - a man with high work ethics. He was beloved and we fondly remember his as a blessing to our lives. May you sleep well Mr. James "Bubba" Boyd as we extend our sincere condolences to your family.
