Obituary For Mr. Jerry Mintz

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Mintz, 67, of Cartersville, GA and formerly of Orangeburg, SC, will be held 2:30pm, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC.

Jerry Mintz, son of the late James Mintz and Enda Wannamaker, was born on January 8, 1958 in Orangeburg, SC. He gained his wings and entered eternal rest on August 12, 2025. Jerry, along with the rest of the Mintz family, was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church.

He devoted his life to giving back to the community and obtained employment with the Calhoun County Government, where he served many years in the St. Matthews Public School System before retiring and relocating to Cartersville, GA with his significant other of 14 years, Monique Milliner.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers; James Mintz Jr, Vandy Mintz, Eugene Mintz, Paul Mintz, and Raymond Mintz.

Left behind to cherish his memories of love, Monique Milliner, their children son Ronnie Milliner and daughters Iesha Milliner and Salena Goins; 6 grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws, Dorothy (Vandy) Mintz and Patricia (Raymond) Mintz; a host of nieces and nephews to include Vanderlyn Mintz-Ransom and Vandy (Rick) Mintz Jr; and a list of others relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, from 2pm-6pm.
