Obituary For Mr. John B. Jeffcoat

Funeral services for Mr. John B. Jeffcoat, 72, of 4025 Theo Circle, Orangeburg, SC, will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 806 Elder Branch Road, Cordova, with interment to follow. Rev. Isaiah Thomas is officiating.

John B. Jeffcoat, son of the late Jeremiah Jeffcoat and the late Lorine Dewberry Jeffcoat, was born February 21, 1950, in Cordova, SC. He was called to eternal rest on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the age of 72.

John was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of G.W. Carver High School in Cordova, South Carolina. After graduation, he relocated to Groton, Connecticut, where he was employed by General Dynamics before retiring after more than 24 years of faithful service.

John was preceded in death by his four brothers: Jeremiah, Richard, James and Leroy; and one sister, Mary Lou Williams.

John leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Angela Jeffcoat; two nephews: Kerry Brothers and Lacy Brothers; one sister, Julia Mae Walley; two sisters-in-law: Charlene Alston, and Laura Woods; two brothers-in-law: Kevin Brothers and Eric Brothers; a good friend, Terrance Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, the family is receiving limited guests at the residence, 4025 Theo Circle, Orangeburg. Friends may also call Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg, SC.
