Funeral services for Mr. Leroy “Teddy Boy” Moss, 77, of 847 Kearse Drive, Orangeburg, SC, will be held 3:30pm Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1065 Sprinkle Avenue, Orangeburg, SC, with interment to follow in Orangeburg Cemetery.
Mr. Moss will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. ROMANS 1:17
Leroy “Teddy Boy” Moss was born January 26, 1942 in Orangeburg, SC to the late Mr. Edward Moss, Sr and Mrs. Eartha Lee Shuler (Moss) Paris. He departed this life on December 16, 2019 after an extended illness.
Leroy attended the Orangeburg County Public Schools. During his childhood years, he mastered a trade in small engine repair and became an employee as a Small Engine Repairman at Kennemore Small Engine Machinery and Repair Shop for many years. He later sought employment at the Orangeburg County School District as a School Maintenance and Custodial Worker until he retired.
Leroy was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church where he faithfully attended and served Christ. His membership moved to Macedonia Baptist Church, after the merge of the New Bethel and Macedonia Baptist Churches, where he continued to faithfully serve until his health diminished.
Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Lynn Moss; four brothers: Roosevelt Paris, Willie Paris, Leroy Paris, Jr and Edward Moss, Jr and one sister, Adelle Paris.
He leaves three sisters to cherish his memory: Mary Caldwell, Carolyn (Timothy) Jamison and Bertha Riley of Orangeburg, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Moss passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Pruitt Health, Orangeburg, SC.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 from noon-8:00pm.
Family and Friends may call at the residence of his sister, Carolyn M. Jamison, 825 Kearse Drive, Orangeburg or Simmons Funeral Home & Crematory of Orangeburg.
