I met Lyman in 1972 and he called me by my nickname "Jenk." One day in the student center he approached me about officiating high school basketball. I was excited for the opportunity, but my career plans took me to New York and officiating didn't fit at that time. 😎 Let the record reflect, I became a basketball and football official in 1986 for the SC High School League. It was a rewarding experience having Coach Foster as my instructor in so many of my Physical Education courses. He was also a great individual and always had a smile on his face when I would see him. He has done his work here. All that knew him, will miss him. Condolences to the family.

He recruited me from out of Boston, MA, and I will never forget the impact he had not only on me but on our women's basketball team as a whole.
