Funeral services for Mr. Maurice Virgil Jones, 30, of Orangeburg, SC, will be held 12:00 noon Monday, December 23, 2019 at Simmons Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC, with interment to follow in Pentniel Cemetery, Islandton, SC. Minister Annie Jones and Bishop George Dobbin are officiating.

Mr. Maurice Virgil Jones, the son of Monique Jones & Jacob Jones was born August 30, 1989 in Walterboro, South Carolina. He earned his wings on December 19, 2019.

Maurice was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a 2007 graduate of Edisto High School.

Maurice was always a very hard worker.

Maurice accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Maurice leaves to cherish fond memories: his fiancé, Malaysia Boneparte; sons, Zion Jones, JJa’Reese Jones, Josiah Johnson, Jordan Ryant and Jaden Franklin; his mother, Monique Jones; this father, Jacob Jones; seven brothers: Deshawn Jones, Antwan Jones, Jacob Jones, Jr., Christopher Jones, Sidney Mays, Marquis Everette and Raynard BAllen; three sisters: Deja Williams, Tiffany Moody and Jasmine Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, loving relatives and dear friends.

Mr. Jones passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019.
