Funeral services for Mr. Sammie Smith, 74, of Santee, SC, will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, with interment to follow at Gethsemane Memorial Garden.
Mr. Smith passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at his residence.
Public viewing will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 1:00pm until the hour of service.
Family and Friends may visit 1905 Bonner Avenue, Santee February 4-5, 2026, from 3-7pm or call Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.

My condolences to the family. Grown up with the family there is always a lot of love and support I have for them. Mr. Smith, I have so much respect for, he would talk to me in passing and showed me love. While I was still in the Navy and come back home to visit the church, he would always show me respect and love. He will be miss, love and respected. You are family.
