Mr. Stephen Peter Conti, 65, of Santee, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Agape Care in Summerville, SC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born on October 12, 1957 in Boston, MA. He was the son of the late Gino and Rose Conti. Stephen grew up in Framingham and after a successful professional career, he and his wife retired to Santee, SC. Steve never met a stranger. He loved entertaining, dining with friends, boating on Lake Marion and the Golf Channel. He remained a fierce New England fan of the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 16 years, Janet Kane Conti; He will be greatly missed by his brother Eugene Conti; daughters Lauren (Terrence) Flanagan and Jenna (Casey) Endsley; stepchildren Richard (Ashley) Young, Amy (Tyler) Sadler; sister Heather Hughes, grandchildren; Sister-in-law Barbara (Kevin) Mullaney, nieces, nephews, friends and his side-kick Chumlee.
Dearest Janet, Eugene, and Conti family, I was so saddened to hear of my cousin's, Stephen's, passing. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. My fond memories of Stephen are from our very young days, playing games in the basement family room or running around outside. Much love, Maddy
Deeply saddened to hear of this although Steve now gets that totally healed and perfect body! He was always joyful and joy filled with a smile, a laugh, and words of encouragement. In the last few years, I would often see him at Craig's Deli and he blessed everyone who he met. At The Historic Church of the Epiphany, his smile, generosity, and willingness to get on with the work... blessed us all. I am grateful for his impact on my life and will look forward to seeing him when I get called home too. God's peace and comfort to Janet and family, Gene Scarborough><>
Sincerely sorry for the Conti family's loss. Know that such a fine person will be long remembered for the smiles, laughter, and kindness he extended to others. May the family's memories of Mr. Conti forever warm their hearts and bring smiles to their faces, even behind tears shed. Know that death was never God's plan (Gen. 1:28) so he gives us hope. (Acts 24:15; Ps. 37:11,29) In God's loving care, Mr. Conti rests.
There are too many memories to share. I'll miss Steve and want to send my love and support to Janet. Rest easy in the arms of Jesus until we meet again.
Dear Janet, Steve was a special guy, and they really did break the mold after him. He can now Rest in Peace. You, and your entire family, are in our thoughts and prayers. Vinny & Brenda Cloutier Spencer, MA
