Funeral services for Mr. Wilbur Alexander Simmons, 39, of Aiken, SC will be held 11:00am, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Millbrook Baptist Church, 223 S. Aiken Blvd. SE Aiken, SC, with Interment to follow at Summer Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2465 Old Barnwell Road, Williston, SC. Rev. Dr. T.E. Simmons is officiating.

Mr. Simmons will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Simmons passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 1:00pm - 6:00pm at Simmons Memorial Chapel, Elko, SC. 10227 Hwy 78, Elko, SC. P.O. Box 283 Elko, SC, 29826

He was the nicest person I've ever met. Always a kind word and a smile in carline at millbrook. He brought everyone water on hot days. Every teacher who had Taylor was thrilled to have her not only bc she is a great kid but they knew Mr Simmons would the class dad and volunteer for everything. He will be missed. Love Coach Brinkley

Oh was so terribly shocked by this news. I remember Wilbur so well as a preteen helping his dad with horses. I recall so vividly him saying he liked helping his dad as long as he didn't ask him to ride. Wilbur was such a beautiful kind mans. Intermittently I would run into him somewhere. His love for his family and God was so evident. You will be missed by so many people. I hope and pray that God will embrace this family and help them through their loss.

To Mrs Simmons my name is Vernon Holmes your husband was a wonderful friend of mine. We met at home Depot,where we worked together. We rode ATVs together many moons ago. I enjoyed every minute we talked every time I would see him. My heart hurts for you and your family. We lost a great man.
