Mrs. Chavous was like a sun flower seed. She was very modest and respectful to you learning and having respect for others. She taught me at G.W. Carver School. Very straight forward with lots of love. I called her two weeks before her transition. We both were so delighted to the warm exchange. She reflected on how my brother Jim Darby was like a son to her. We will miss her beautiful array of brightness and joy.

Greetings to the Family:
When Aunt Ruby died in Philadelphia, cousins Betty and Barbara saw me off on my first day of college at Temple University because, Aunt Ruby's burial was a couple days after the funeral. When I came back to the house they were there to make sure that I was fed and they asked me about my classes. Miss them all. Daiquiri Robinson, Cookie's oldest daughter
