Private graveside services will be held for Mrs. Emma Almonds, 84, of 408 Claredon Street, Orangeburg. Pastor Lewis Grant is officiating.
Emma R. Almonds, the daughter of the late Horrace Cannon and the late Minnie Cannon, was born on July 16, 1935 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She departed this life on April 14, 2020 in Orangeburg.
Emma was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County, South Carolina. She was a member of Old Mt. Zion Baptist church; where she served on the choir.
Emma retired from Ambler’s Sewing Industrial. She volunteered at The Cook Road Center and The Orangeburg Nursing Home, both of Orangeburg County.
She enjoyed going out to eat, shopping and cooking. Emma was a sweet and kind-hearted lady.
Emma was married to the late Mr. George “JD” Almonds.
She was preceded in death by her two children: Andrew Seawright Jr. and Deloris Seawright; and two sisters: Artie Lee (Chunk) Rumph and Marguree Hammonds Shuler.
Emma leaves to cherish precious memories, her children: Wanda McMorris of Madison, WI, Juliet (Joseph) Dickson Sr., Tina (Larry) Williams Sr, Romeo (Jean) Almonds Sr. all of Orangeburg, SC; Robert Seawright (Grand) of Madison, WI; a daughter-in-law, Sharon; 21 grandchildren: Terrace Dickson, Joseph (Zarquita) Dickson Jr, Jokesha Dickson, Adrienne Almonds, Larry Williams Jr., Aaliyah Williams, Rochelle Almonds, Romeo Almonds Jr, Romeo (Courtney) Almonds III, Romeo Almonds IV, Lonnie (Kaela) Hampton, Diamond Owens, Ronnie (Paula) Hampton, Lucinda Pauling, Trenton (Melinda) Sweatmon, Skylar Pound-McMorris, Charles (Heida) Dickerson, Wanetia Dickerson, Ingrid Hampton and Arteigas Hampton ; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and a
