Funeral services for Mrs. Fairybelle Glover, 88, of Orangeburg, SC, will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at St. Paul Baptist Church, 2259 Rowesville Road, Orangeburg, SC, 29115, with interment to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Garden, Orangeburg, SC.

Mrs. Glover will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

With profound sadness but hearts filled with gratitude, we announce the passing of Fairybelle Glover, who left this world on January 25, 2025, at the age of 88. Known to many as "Belle," she lived a vibrant, purposeful life full of energy, joy, and love. Her radiant smile and adventurous spirit touched all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

Born Fairybelle Myers on December 5, 1936, in Branchville, SC, Belle was the cherished daughter of Willie and Julia Myers. She grew up surrounded by love, one of six siblings: Inez Douglass, Marvin Myers (deceased), Julia Williams (deceased), Anetha Cesar (deceased), and Ella Smith Harris. Belle was celebrated for her love of traveling, cooking, attending church, and bringing people together. Known for her no-nonsense attitude, she was a guiding force, ensuring those around her brought their best selves forward.

Belle's life was a story of resilience, love, and commitment. The Myers family relocated from Branchville, SC, to the Bronx, NY, where Belle attended Jane Addams High School. In her final year, she met the love of her life, Lawrence Glover, through her friend Geraldine. Less than a year later, they were married, and Belle became Fairybelle Glover. She later pursued her passion for helping others, attending Joint Disease School of Medicine for Nursing and becoming a Registered Nurse.

Belle and Lawrence built a beautiful life together, raising three children: Laura Williams, Phyllis Glover (deceased), and Keith Glover. In 1993, they relocated to Orangeburg, SC, where they embraced a life of community and purpose. Belle had a talent for gardening, volunteering, and spending quality time with her family. She was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Church for over 30 years and took great joy in hosting family gatherings.

Her grandchildren—Devin Williams, Andre Williams, Laurice Williams, and Elise Williams—were the light of her life. Summers spent with them were her happiest times, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Belle’s legacy of wisdom, kindness, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Though we grieve her passing, we celebrate the extraordinary life Belle lived. Her legacy will inspire all who knew her to live with as much joy, compassion, and gratitude as she did. Belle’s spirit will remain a guiding light, reminding us to cherish every moment.

Belle is survived by her children Laura and Keith; grandchildren Devin, Andre, Laurice, and Elise; great-grandchildren Ayanna, Kyah, Devin Jr, Mylani, Kayla, and Brielle; great-great-grandchild Kylani; siblings Inez and Ella; in-laws Cheryl, Ernest, and Thomasine; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her legacy everlasting.

Public viewing will be held Monday, February 3, 2025, from 1-6pm.
