I wanna thank each and everyone for their kind and encouraging words about my mother. She really was an amazing woman. A Godly woman. All the characters of Christ she was. To k ow her was to love her. I miss her a lot, but she will always be in my heart. The memories I have are just phenomenal. Mama, I know God knew best and I know you are in good hands. DANCE IN HEAVEN SIS MIMS!

To grow up in a small spirit filled church is to grow up like a family in a place of love. Sis. Mims has been instrumental in the life of every young person that attended Gethsemane Baptist Church on Lawton Rd. Oh, how I will miss the one-legged dance, the playing of the tambourine, the intercession, and the hugs and encouragement. Now I can only imagine her praise as her daughter sings songs like "God is Faithful...He is bigger than my mountain, my valley, my problems, and my pain". In the same respect, I can imagine her pointing her finger to Heaven and turning in a circle as the choir repeats a verse of a song that thanks God for just "One more day". I am actually sad you are gone, but I am so excited that you made it to GLORY. I know you are before the throne and in full worship! I am happy happy happy for your triumphant! Love You Sis Mims!

On behalf of the Bradshaw and Darby families, we would like to extend our hearfelt condolences to the Mims family on the lost of a beautiful soul, Ms. Mims. Ms. Mims was an instrumental part of our lives and she cared for Andrew, Jordan, Jayden and Darbi at Mama Stokes Daycare.She took care,nurtured, love on and spoiled our children and we knew they were good hands with Ms.Mims. She was a beautiful soul inside and out and we are forever grateful that GOD allowed our paths to cross. We find comfort in knowing that you are resting peacefully with our Lord GOD. Thank you, Ms. Mims for putting an everlasting impression on not only all the children you loved on over the years but the parents also who are appreciative and thankful.

Lillian Mims was the most honest, sweetest, kindest human I've ever met in all my life. She blessed me and my family with encouraging words & so much support over the years. This is such a huge loss.

She will forever be missed, but never forgotten. I love you dearly Lil, you're always in my heart. You were the best Spiritual Mother, and I knew you were proud of the woman I've become. I will always check on your girls, Neva, Nikki & Lynn my beautiful Spiritual Sisters. RIP, your Spiritual daughter Vivian Denard

Neva, Nykkie, Lynn.....we go back to 1979,1980.....I feel like we are family, a family that we made a choice to be a part of. Ms Mims, "Lil", was always soft spoken, loved the Lord and would have this silly lil grin we be fooling in front of her. Never, ever saw her angry or out of character.A true virtuous woman.She was a solider for the Lord, always helping others. No need for sadness, we know she has her Crown and a beautiful new Robe !!!!! Rest easy, God got you now. I'm trying to live right so I'll see again. Love, Sonia Hudgins & family

I am so sadden to hear about Mrs. Mims she was my Orangeburg Auntie, I am remember the time we created the Lizzies girl club for Mama Stocks Daycare and we all had a sleep over at her house that was the first and last time I ate Pineapples and Viennas together lol you couldn't tell us we didn't have a real luau, lol she will be missed.
