Funeral services for Ms. EvanjaLeek Jean Shanice Salter, 26, of Far Rockaway, NY, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Union Chapel Baptist Church, 1729 Coulter Road, Orangeburg, SC, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Isaac Benekin is officiating.
Ms. Salter will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Evanjaleek Jean Shanice Salter, was born on March 10, 1996 to Jessica Naomi Hamilton and the late Richard Salter, Sr. in Far Rockaway, New York. She gained her wings on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the age of 26.
Evanjaleek received her early education in P.S. 42 of Far Rockaway, NY, furthering her education at Columbia South University in Orangeburg, SC. She was a very hard worker with many occupations. She attended St. John Baptist church, where she was a part of the dance ministry.
She was preceded in death by father, Richard Salter, Sr., and her grandparents.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: her mother, Jessica Hamilton; five siblings, Sheena Hamilton, Kenya Hamilton, Lamar Salter, Samantha Robeson and Richard Salter, Jr.; three nieces, Amouni, Ke-Nya and Chasity; four nephews, Messiah, Jayce, Amari and Lamar, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, god-children, and dear friends who loved her.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
