Funeral services for Ms. Janette Goodwine, 57, of 363 Whaley Street, Orangeburg, will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, September 28, 2019. Apostle Shane Wall is officiating.
Janette Goodwine was born on June 20, 1962 in Haynes City, Florida.
She departed this life on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Janette was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of Orangeburg–Wilkinson High school.
At an early age, she joined Saint John Baptist Church in Cameron, South Carolina.
She was employed at Shoney’s Restaurant for more than 20 years.
Janette loved candles, the color yellow and most of all, her grandchildren.
Janette was preceded in death by her biological father, Willie Goodwine, Sr.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her mother, Beaulah Goodwine; father, Joe Boneparte; three brothers: Eugene Goodwine, Willie Goodwine, Jr, and Otis Goodwine; one sister, Lille Goodwine; two daughters: Monica Goodwine and Lashayla Goodwine; four grandchildren: Naron Mack, Ja’Quez Mack, Markell Boyd and Arabella Boyd; two aunts: Mary Goodwine of St. Matthews, SC and Marion Goodwine of Long Island, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, September 27, 2019 at Simmons Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the residence of her daughters, Ms. Monica Goodwine and Ms. Lashayla Goodwine, 363 Whaley Street, Orangeburg or Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
Ms. “ Janette,” was a stern, consistent, observant, hard working individual! She embodied the definition of dedication and loyalty to her job. Never one to hold her tongue. She was always blunt and straightforward with her opinion. I shared many memories with Ms. janette. And I wish the very best for her family during their time of sorrow. May God bless.
