Obituary For Ms. Johnetta Shavon Guinyard
Funeral services for Ms. Johnetta Shavon Guinyard, 40, of 1176 Erika Lane, Orangeburg, will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Simmons funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, with interment to follow in Heavenly Rest Memorial Park. Reverend Andrew Jordan is officiating.
Ms. Johnetta Shavon Guinyard, known to her family and friends as “Trixy”, was born the daughter of Cynthia Guinyard and the late John Wesley Jordan on January 1, 1982 in Orangeburg, SC. Johnetta departed this life at the Regional Medical Center on Sunday, August 7, 2022.
Johnetta received her education in the public schools of Orangeburg County. She was a member of Warren Chapel Baptist Church.
Johnetta was employed by Ruth’s House, Inc in Holly Hill, SC, where she was a production team member. She held many other skills and traits to include being a phenomenal hairstylist. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her nieces and nephews were the love of her life. Johnetta had a very high sense of humor and believed in making others laugh.
She was preceded in death by her: loving father, John Wesley Jordan; one brother, Marcus Guinyard; one aunt, Mattie Guinyard Mintz; and one uncle, Harold Guinyard.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving mother, Cynthia Guinyard (Melvin Bodrick); one sister, Triquetta (Steven) Berry; three brothers: John, Melvin and Radwon Guinyard; two aunts: Carol Sue Guinyard and Clara (Nathaniel) Abraham; three uncles: Christlo, Andrew and Terrance (Gina) Jordan; three nieces: Jada Guinyard, Zy’Asia Berry and Kyrionna Guinyard; six nephews: Pierre Gardner, Jr., John Guinyard, Tre’Shaun Berry, Rashad, Javier and JaMarcus Guinyard; a special friend: Brandon Berry; a friend: Faquazia Alston; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; and a host of loving cousins, other relatives and friends whom she loved with all her heart.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Family and friends may visit the residence of her mother, Ms. Cynthia Guinyard, 4478 Rustic Street, Orangeburg. Friends may also call Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg, SC.
