Funeral services for Ms. Tommie Mae Perry, 78, of 5139 Floran Street, Columbia, SC, will be held 11:00am, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC. Rev. Richard M. Davis is officiating.
Ms. Tommie Mae Snell Perry was born April 9, 1944 to the late Thomas Snell and Lillie Mae Snell in Orangeburg, SC. She passed away on September 27, 2022, following a brief illness.
Tommie was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County. She enjoyed coloring, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She was a very strong woman and took pride in keeping her family together.
Tommie was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Adam and Maggie Lee.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: seven daughters: Annette Perry and Dorothy E. Perry of Denmark, SC, Darnell Perry and Lisa Perry of Columbia, SC; Linda Perry of Orangeburg, SC, Shelia (Curtis) Conner of St. Matthews, SC and Wanda Perry of Columbia, SC; adopted son, Tony Green (Myra) of Charleston, SC; grandchildren: Antonie (Nancy) Perry, Antwan (Cherelle) Houser, Lakaisha Houser, La’Donte Houser, Anntonique Perry, Da’Chanelle Shivers, Lynne-Quan Conner, Wanneeshia Perry, Assaunte Gilyard, Cur’Shula Conner, LinnDario Adams, Tis’Shula Conner, Dajannae Johnson and Da’Wanya Perry; nieces and nephews: Tyrone Perry, Kendrid Armstrong and Kathy Armstrong; a host of great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson, AJ who loved his GG!; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Family and friends may visit the residence of her daughter, Ms. Linda Perry, 1809 Colonial Drive, Orangeburg, or call Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
