Ms. Mack's colleagues in the Department of English and Communications at SC State join in sympathy with her family. She had a truly genuine and sweet spirit and was a valued colleague in our department before her retirement. We remember her with love.

Dear Deidre and Nita, Please know that Ms. Valerie was a true jewel to those whom she worked with in Turner Hall @ The SC State University. Valerie loved her SCSU family and we loved her. She definitely left and indelible impression on our lives and will always be remembered.

My prayers go out to Deidre for the loss of her mother. I was a work study student under Val while attending South Carolina State. Val was a beautiful person to work with. I will always remember that big smile and her beautiful personality. Good nite Val.
