Funeral services for Ms. Selena D. Young, 52, of 690 Gadsden Street, Orangeburg, will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, Orangeburg, with interment to follow in Heavenly Rest Memorial Park, Cordova. Rev. Julius Sistrunk is officiating.
Ms. Selena Young was born May 19, 1970 in Orangeburg, SC. She was the daughter of Glen Young and Frizzla Young.
Selena received her education in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. She was employed by Church’s Chicken and hospitality industries.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eron Young; and one brother, Glen Young, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons: Marcus (Keshia) Young and Michael (Gabrielle) Williams; one daughter, Keisha Robinson; three sisters: Veronica Harrison, Fatisha (Michael) Young and Shayla (Charles) Felder; one brother, Charles (Mary) Young; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and dear friends.
Ms. Young passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at her residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The family respectfully requests no visitation at the residence. Family and friends may call Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg, SC.
