Debbie will always be Ms. Booker to me. I was the full-time sub at the Cohn School and working with Ms. Booker was a privilege. She inspired me to go on and become a public school music teacher. Because of her I try to love my students and see the good in them, no matter what.

I taught under Debbie Booker @ Cohn Bridge High School, and she supported, rebuilt and encouraged me. I remember standing in a classroom for another Teacher who was out. It was a Math class, and I am NOT a Math person. Dr. Booker came into class...and she went from being my Executive Principal to being a Math Teacher again. She picked up the Chalk Chuck and started TEACHING! I loved her so much in that moment...that she continued to be a Teacher. I will never be an Administrator...but she never stopped being a Teacher...

When the Early Learning Department moved over to Cohn, Debbie welcomed us with open arms and always had a smile on her face. I will always remember dancing with her in the office and her joy for life. She was dedicated to her students and staff and a true champion for education.
