Imo, I miss you so much. I have tried to do this 3 times since you passed, but I couldn't; it was just too final. I still can't believe that you are no longer here. But, when May rolled around, I told myself I'm doing it on her birthday. I'm crying now as I write this, but after talking to Terica today, who is so wise, I will finish. She said Mama is in heaven with her Mom and Dad whom she loved dearly. She told me that Jason said you're probably riding on a Goldwing with Ken, today, to celebrate your birthday. We laughed and I felt so much better. We first met at MNPD in 1974, my first day on a new job with people I didn't know. Lucky for me, I was assigned to the Unit where you worked. Like most people who start a new job, I felt a little bit nervous and dreading lunch time, I hated eating alone. But you were kind enough to invite me to have lunch with you, Thelma, and Petway, if I didn't have any other plan which, of course, I didn't. So, I thankfully accepted. We have been best friends ever since...50 years. Fifty years... we laughed, played, cried, raised our kids, traveled, and buried our Moms. We were definitely soul mates. I love you; I miss you; I'll never forget you for as long as I live (unless I develop Alzheimer's). As I'm coming to end of this share, I'm no longer crying, just smiling thinking of all the great times and the witty, funny things you would say and do. I'm happy that you're no longer suffering and at peace. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I love you my sister-friend. P.S. Don't fall asleep on that motorcycle! Brenda
Imogene will be missed. I worked with her at MNPD. RIP
There is no question Imogene is with the angels. She was such a delight to work with when we worked together at MNPD. She was a friend, a sounding board & always there to share her laughter & smile. RIP Sweet Imogene. - John Eslick | Gulf Shores AL

To the family of Imogene Garrett;
First, thank you for sharing her with us.
I worked with Imogene at MNPD, and Imogene was always a helpful, smiling, and pleasant person.
I have no doubts that Imogene is carrying on that tradition in heaven.
I believe that Imogene was met by angels and they showed her the way home.
Imogene will be missed and remembered by all she touched.
May Imogene, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
