Obituary For Jackie Darnell Holcomb

Jackie Darnell Holcomb, age 73, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully Wednesday night January 14, 2026. He was born on May 10, 1952 in Mobile, Alabama to JD and Esther Holcomb.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. JD Holcomb and Esther Holcomb; sisters: Esther Marie Holcomb and Cynthia Hampton; and brother Rev. John Holcomb.

He leaves to cherish his memory loving wife Audrey Holcomb; children Diana Marie (Donald) McClintock, Jacquelynn Brown, Gloria Holcomb, and Adam (Nick) Huskins-Hutson; grandchildren Malachi, Zora, and Micah and their father Terrence; bonus grandchild Stephanie (Austin) Howell and their children Jinora and Amara; brother Rev. Lawrence (Brenda) Holcomb; sisters: Christina (Frankie) Holmes, Linda Holcomb, and MaryAnn Crawley; aunties: Delores Kennedy, Vonceil White, Bettie Holcomb, and Gustine Chambers; Numerous sister and brother in-laws that were loved as if they were blood; a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and dear friends Chima, Glenda and James.

It is the family's wish that, in lieu of flowers, any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Nashville Rescue Mission, Room in the Inn, Open Table Nashville or a church ministry of your choice.

Both the funeral and viewing will be on Sat. Jan. 31st at Trevecca Community Church of the Nazarene, 335 Murfreesboro Rd Nashville, TN 37210:

Family viewing: 11am-12pm

Public Viewing: 12-1pm

Funeral: 1pm

Burial will be Monday Feb. 2nd at Pegram (Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery) at 11am, please meet at Smith Funeral Home at 10am for the processional to the cemetery.
