Nashville, TN
Ronald E. Lowe-Age 75. February 18, 2026. Today, we come together to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Ronald Edward Lowe. Born on October 14, 1950, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Helen Bernice Cooper and David Allen, Ronnie peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Ronnie received his early education at Haynes Elementary and Junior High School, where he proudly played football and baseball for the Haynes High Wildcats. He later attended and graduated from East Nashville High School, serving as a member of the Grey Eagle Varsity football team in 1968.
Following high school, Ronnie earned his HVAC certification and went on to build an extraordinary career that spanned more than 50 years. He began as a Plant Manager at Tennessee State University before continuing his work with Constellation Energy Corporation, formerly Nashville Thermal Corporation. Ronnie took great pride in his profession. His dedication, loyalty, and unwavering work ethic earned him deep respect throughout his career. He truly loved the work he did and returned to it whenever he was able.
Ronnie lived a life full of passions—especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling, sports, cooking, and spending time with dogs.
Affectionately known by his siblings as “Red” and “Fat Cat,” Ronnie was his family’s loudest and most devoted supporter. He never met a stranger, helping countless people throughout his life and forming lasting bonds wherever he went. Those who had the privilege of knowing him will deeply miss his authenticity, kindness, and unforgettable personality. Ronnie Lowe was always, unmistakably, Ronnie Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Bernice Cooper and David Allen; his brother, Kenneth Lowe; his daughter, Kenya Lowe; his nephew, Wendall Lowe; and his niece, Tameika Lowe.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Marylouise; his daughters, Shaye Patrice Lowe and Takara Bernice Lowe; his grandsons, Jerron Waters and Tabari Lowe; his brothers Michael Lowe, Jubal Cooper (Shellia), and Reginald “Ping” Cooper (Wendy); his sister, Belinda Lowe; nephews and nieces Kevin Knight, Dr. Caryn Lowe, Jalisa Cooper, Kenneth Cooper, Reginald Cooper, Kimberly Cooper, and Monique Dodson; his devoted sister-in-law, Mrs. Patricia Lowe; his loyal best friend of 61 years, James Williams; and a host of beloved family members and dear friends.
