To the family sending my love. I will miss my hug whenever he came in the door of Ebenezer ommunity Church to hear his nephew Sonny Lyons preach. His humor and kindness always gave joy. Eleanor Johnson Pearl High School..
The passing of Coach, as I always called him, brings so many wonderful memories from our teaching days at Hillsboro. One of the highlights of every year was the prom fashion show for which he always served as my modeling partner; we always closed the show by dancing together along with the student models. I will miss your wit and wisdom shared with me and hundreds of students. Sleep well in God's arms, Coach.
With caring and loving thoughts and prayer for the Family of Walter. Though I know your hearts must hold deep sadness of his passing, may it also hold the blessings of the life you shared and the love that will always be a part of you. Praying that God will comfort your hearts, uplift your spirits and carry each of you through this difficult time of sadness to a place of peace. He will truly be missed but he is now resting in peace. Beverly M. Offutt Hobbs, Class of 1967, Pearl High School
