Antonio “Tony” Calhoun (58) departed this life on November 22, 2023 in Catersville, Georgia. Memorial Service will held Saturday Dec. 9, at 1:00 pm in our Chapel. Service will be live stream (click on his picture 10 mins prior to service and scroll to end of his obituary and select front or back video link to watch service). All participants are required to wear a mask while our Chapel seats 400 which allows for social distancing.
He was born to the late Barbara A. Calhoun and Henry Calhoun in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Dekalb County Schools System. Where he then started his military career and joined the Air Force in 1985 and toured in Germany. When he returned to the states he took business classes which led to him becoming a lifelong entrepreneur.Tony was the second oldest born to his parents. His dear sisters Keshia Calhoun and Karen Griffin presided him death in 1993. He was known for being extremely outgoing, charismatic and a great cook. He was also a huge Atlanta Falcon fan until the end.
He was a member of Bethlehem Church of God Holiness until his passing. Tony was also know for his style, humor and entrepreneurial spirit. Once he departed from the military he began his quest of entrepreneurship where he had several businesses. The one he was infamously known for was his limousine company which he had for over 30 years. Tony had several drivers and he himself chauffeured natives and tourist all around Atlanta.
He leaves behind his ex-wife Wendy Whitehead, his only child Erika Sade Calhoun , 5 beautiful grandchildren as well as his niece Alexandria Ventica Griffin and host of cousins and aunts and uncle. He was loved be his family, friends, colleagues and all who know him.
