Jessica Monique Joseph, 45, of Union City Georgia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of May 28, 2020. After a five year battle with breast cancer, Jessica is finally resting in peace! Jessica was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 2, 1975 to Sylvia Henry and Kenneth Joseph. Jessica lived in St. Thomas Virgin Island where she resided with her second set of parents, Aunt Monica and her husband Cartright Joseph, until the age of nine. She then joined her mother in Miami where she completed Elementary, Middle and graduated from Miami Springs Sr. High School with honors in 1992. Jessica attended College at Miami Dade where she studied Travel and Tourism. Jessica pursued a career in hospitality working with Holiday Inn, over the course of 11 years. In 2003 she started her career in RealEstate; while working in Real Estate she developed an interest in Banking and started working for Suntrust Bank where she worked her way up from a call center bank agent to an assistant branch manager over the course of 12 years. In the Spring of 2015 Jessica relocated to Norcross GA where she continued her career in banking as an Assistant Branch Manager with Fifth Third Bank. From classmates to coworkers and customers alike, Jessica has made a positive impact on those she engaged with and created long lasting friendships. Jessica was a wonderful daughter, sister and mother who enjoyed going to the beach, shopping, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Most of all she enjoyed being a Mother to her daughter and only child Kristyn Ramessar; raising Kristyn brought much joy and purpose to her life. Jessica was the first born child to her mother and will always have a special place in her mother's heart. Jessica was the best big sister anyone could have; she was like a mother to her younger siblings as they grew up, then their best friend as they got older. Beautiful both inside and out, Jessica was a pure hearted person, loved and adored by many. Jessica is survived by all of her Parents, Sylvia Henry, Kenneth Joseph and Aunt Monica and Cartwright Joseph. Child Kristyn Ramessar (The Princess). Siblings, Jason Gumbs, Jasmin Henry, Dave, Karen, Kenneth and Cleo Joseph. Nieces and Nephews, Aariyani Riggins, Jahkai Henry Rivers, Jahlani Gumbs and Dietrick Holliday Jr just to name a few, as well as several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins too numerous to mention. We will miss your beautiful smile and infectious spirit. It has truly been a blessing to have such a wonderful daughter, sister, niece and mother like you in all of our lives. We will forever miss you and keep you in our hearts. Sleep in peace, until that day when we shall meet again.
Jessica Joseph died May 28, 2020. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June, 13, 2020 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Smith, Dennis-Funeral Home, 3047 Campbellton Road, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30311. 404-349-2400. Visitation will be held on Friday, June, 12, 2020 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home.
