Funeral service will be held May 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Smith, Dennis-Smith Funeral Home,Chapel and Cremation Services 3047 Campbellton Rd. SW. 30311/ 4043492400. Viewing for Ms. Sheffield will be held from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday May 14, 2021. All participants must wear a mask. Our Chapel occupancy is 400 people which allows social distancing. LaVonne Sheffield “AKA” Sister Black was born June 11, 1946 to the late Willie Lou Ector and Roger Magby. To the world Sister Black didn’t just raise 4 solders but a whole community. She fed the hungry and comforted the lost. It did not matter what walk of life you followed, you were welcome when in her presence. She would always feed you and celebrate life. She was firm, kind and giving. She never met a stranger. She attended Turner High School and pursued her love for food service. On May 4, 2021 she was embraced by God’s Loving arms and was called home to be with her Loving Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Lou Ector, Roger Magby; sister Ruby Patterson; brother, Gary Ector and Sherre. Daughters; Wanda Sheffield, Angela Sheffield and son James Sheffield. Two brothers; Roger Magby, Alvin and Dennis; Grandchildren Willie, Jasmine, Olicia, Quentin, Mason, Jameshia, Monique, Momica, Pop and host of other relatives and friends.
