Mrs. Lydia Kemp-Cole passed on June 15, 2021. Funeral Services for Mrs. Cole will be held Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 12:00 pm in our Chapel 3047 Campbellton Rd. SW., Atlanta, Ga. 30311. Her viewing is Monday Jun 21, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 6:000 pm at our Funeral Home. The service will be Livestream,(scroll down her obituary and select link for her Funeral Service). Interment, Lincoln Cemetery. All participants must wear mask while our chapel seats 400 which allows for social distancing. for further in formation (404-349-2400). Lydia Cole (Ms. Cole) the daughter of Ernest Kemp and Effie May Miller was born January 16th, 1935 in Kennesaw, GA. She was educated in the Cobb County School district. Ms. Cole was a woman of immense faith and the walking embodiment of Matthew 20:28 – “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” She lived out her call to service through the many children and families she cared for through her numerous years in the daycare industry and in devoted service as member of Mt. Olive Seventh Day Adventist Church, impacting the lives of all she encountered. She loved and was loved. She didn’t just quote scripture, she brought it to life. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Kemp and Effie May Miller, siblings Isaac L Kemp, Willie Mae Kemp, Charles Kemp, Ernest Kemp, Dorthy R Kemp and grandson Antonio Burke. Her memory and legacy will be carried on in the hearts of her children, David Kemp (Shirley), Mary Acevedo, Angela Burke Jackson, Tyrone Burke and Phillip Burke (Sandra). Grandchildren Ayanna Kennedy, Jamila Tyson (Frederick), Ronney LaQuanzee Jackson, Anette Lefert (Henry), Miguel Fuller (Abe), Tyrone Burke, Jr., Chari Burke (Marlo), Johnathan Burke, Phillip Burke, Jr., Imani MCcollum; Great grandchildren Schari Jackson, Ronney Jackson Jr, A’tonney Jackson, A’naya Jackson, Karl (Trey) Kennedy III, Raquel Davis, Aaliyah Davis, Reginald (Alonzo) Davis, Maddison Crane, Jordyn Beaugard, and Antonio Burke . Great-great grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends.

Sis Lydia Cole will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and knew her as an earthly angel.she loved being of service in God's vineyard. She enjoyed feeding the homeless and vising the sick and nursing homes.Sis Cole was a woman of strength and kept her eyes on the prize;the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Let's be ready for that great getting up morning during the first resurrection to see her again in peace Even so Lord Jesus Come.
