Uncle Bubba, you will forever be missed but always in my heart. You let a little boy named Floyd from the neighborhood know that you knew he liked me and you would cut him up if he tried anything with your niece, because of your words that boy ran up the stairs passed my door everyday from school. That boy knew you loved me and my love for you. Rest in piece Uncle Bubba, you did your job!

To my uncle Bubba who will be truly missed. You're my one of a kind uncle who made me out to be who i am today. I remember when these 5 girls jumped me when aunt Minnie sent me out to get Junior from day care at the Salvation Army. These girls was tagging me up until uncle Bubba came down the block in his sky blue car and stopped his car where I was fighting. He said hey hey to the girls and they started running. Bubba asked me did you kick there butt. I was tired and said you know I did uncle. He said I saw you tearing them up and knew it was you. He drove me and junior home and to be honest I was glad to see uncles Bubba because I knew he had my back. I'm going to miss you uncle sooooo much. Love you always ❤️ Your niece Reanna

Uncle Bubba was a wonderful uncle one who never grew old; His smile was made of sunshine, and his heart was solid gold. A limb has fallen from the James family tree, but I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me." Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs, and the good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage. I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly.
